A Smiling Face

This poem was written for a friend on her birthday. Please pray for Kavi. She is a dear friend who loves the Lord.

A Smiling Face

This is not our home;
We are strangers in this land.
Heaven is our home,
And with Him one day we’ll stand.

Though the waves of sorrow roll
Like oceans overhead
His grace is deeper, deeper still
Than any depths we’ve tread.

Blessings wait for us divine.
Sufferings dare not compare.
And everything crooked with be made straight
In the freedom of C we share.

When our souls are taken home
And when the storm has finally past,
Faith will be replaced with sight:
We will see at at last…

That what was great is now small
And what was first is last.
We’ll clearly see the Hands of Grace
Were working in the past.

For now we trust and place
Our faith in His unfailing grace…

Behind a frowning providence
He hides a smiling face
