How much GREATER He will be in Glory!

Posted in Devotionals, Update at 3:50 am by Sarah Bosse

I loved studying Anatomy & Physiology as well as Audiology.  I was amazed to see the complexity of God’s creation.  I’m still in awe of how Great our God really is…yet I know we only see dimly!  How much GREATER He will be to our understanding when we see Him in Glory!!!  Can you imagine?!  I can’t WAIT!!!!  I want to go RIGHT NOW!!!  (And I feel like I could jump up and down with joy and anticipation and excitement!!!!)
God gives disabilities so that He might receive the glory.  He will indeed receive glory when the Deaf hear and the lame leap for joy and the blind see and the dead hearts are raised to life!  Praise be to God!  Can you imagine what that moment must be like?!  Those who have mental retardation will be able to think with perfect clarity and understand all mysteries revealed in Christ.  Men who never walked before, who knew years of agony and lives of pain, jump and leap up in a burst of life and healing!  The blind, who used their hands and ears to see, lay their eyes on the face of their Savior!  The Deaf, who saw music in the wave of a hand, now hear a heavenly chorus singing in harmony “Holy, Holy, Holy!”  It sends chills down my spine as I consider it and I see it in my mind.
You and I will be there.  We will see it.  We will be healed – all our diseases – for God is the great Healer and Physician.  He heals the heart and cures it of its diseases and waywardness.  He will touch the soul with His blood and make it clean, and draw it to Himself.  Perfect unity.  Perfect purity.  Perfect love.  Indeed, HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD!  He alone is worthy to be praised – He ALONE is worthy of all glory and honor!
Oh Father…Help us, your creatures, to live humble lives of submission and obedience.  Remind us that You are our Everything, the God Who Is Enough, and You Yourself are our purpose.  Refocus our thoughts and our longings so that they reflect the longings of Your Spirit and the purpose for which we were created.  May our gladness and joy come only through Jesus Christ.  Amen.
